Sign In/Sign UpThe Junior Research Associate program supports undergraduate and graduate students for nine months of mentored biomedical research at a PR-INBRE network institution. Students with a GPA of 3.0 or higher submit an NIH-format research proposal with their mentor. Applications are due September 25, 2026, for appointments from October 2026 through June 2027.
PR-INBRE invites early-stage investigators at network institutions to apply for Full Project funding of up to $125,000 per year for three to five years. Applications use PHS 398 forms with a 12-page Research Strategy and are reviewed under the NIH simplified review framework. Complete applications are due August 30, 2026, for projects starting January 1, 2027.
PR-INBRE offers non-renewable awards of up to $25,000 for small instruments that strengthen biomedical research and research training at primarily undergraduate institutions in the network. Proposals must show how the instrument supports funded or developing research projects and student training. Applications are due January 29, 2027.
