Arkansas INBRE Developmental Research Project Program Funding Opportunity Announcements (FOAs) Faculty Mentored Research Program: FY2026 Pilot Project Awards

The Arkansas IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (AR INBRE) invites faculty with research interests in the biomedical sciences at Primarily Undergraduate Institutions (PUIs) to apply to the Arkansas INBRE Developmental Research Project Program (DRPP). A funding mechanism for 1-year Pilot Projects (PPs), is offered to all PUI faculty within the Arkansas INBRE network. PUI faculty currently supported as a recipient of the DRPP’s Research Project award (two years in length) are not eligible to apply. Undergraduate student participation in the research is a requirement.


The Arkansas INBRE Summer Mentored Research Program

Summer Research Fellowships for Undergraduate Students Plot your course for the future… Explore a Summer Fellowship in BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH Looking for a summer research experience? Paid summer research fellowships are available for undergraduate students who are rising juniors or seniors. Selected students will work on a project relevant to human health led by a faculty member at either the University of Arkansas, or the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. The scope of the projects range from laboratory based research to clinical studies using human subjects. A major goal of the INBRE Summer Student Research Fellowship Programs is to involve Arkansas students from groups traditionally underrepresented in science in a stimulating research experience. The Arkansas INBRE offers two 10-week summer research programs tailored to students with STEM majors (e.g., biology, chemistry, physics, engineering, computer science, mathematics, and related disciplines) who are considering careers in biomedical research.


Innovative Solutions in Sustainable Agriculture: 2026 Pilot Grant Program

The Innovative Solutions in Sustainable Agriculture: 2025 Pilot Grant Program seeks to support early-stage, high-impact research and development initiatives aimed at advancing sustainable agricultural practices. This Request for Applications (RFA) invites proposals that demonstrate creative approaches to improving productivity, resource efficiency, and environmental stewardship within farming systems. Eligible projects may focus on areas such as soil health, water conservation, climate resilience, integrated pest management, or novel crop technologies. Successful applicants will receive pilot funding to refine and validate their concepts, laying the groundwork for future scalability and long-term impact in sustainable agriculture.
