The Central State IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (CS-INBRE, P20GM100002) is funded by NIH/NIGMS to build biomedical research capacity across the state. Central State University is the lead institution, working with eight partner campuses, most of them primarily undergraduate institutions and community colleges, to support faculty research and train the next generation of biomedical scientists.
Developmental Research Projects (DRPs) build the research programs of faculty at partner institutions, engage undergraduates in hypothesis-driven biomedical research, and lead to competitive extramural applications (R15, R16, R01).
