The Central State IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (CS-INBRE, P20GM100002) is funded by NIH/NIGMS to build biomedical research capacity across the state. Central State University is the lead institution, working with eight partner campuses, most of them primarily undergraduate institutions and community colleges, to support faculty research and train the next generation of biomedical scientists.
Faculty Research Pilot Awards help faculty at partner institutions start a new research direction, collect preliminary data for a Developmental Research Project or an R15, and involve undergraduates in the work.
